Our highly qualified staff can help educate you about our products and help you select a counter top material that is best suited to your lifestyle. Q. How long does the whole process take? A. Countertops are unique custom made products. Solid surface products typically take from 5 to 8 business days from start to finish, depending on the complexity of the project. Q. How long does the installation take? A. In most cases an average size kitchen can be installed in one day. Q. Can I keep my existing counters during the fabrication process? A. In many cases yes, in other cases no. Most solid surface applications will not require that your counters be removed prior to installation day, with the exception of coved counters. However, Advanced Surfaces Inc. will install sub tops and set the sink (less plumbing) on demolition day for your convenience. Q. Can Advanced Surfaces Inc. remove my existing counters? A. Yes. The removal of your existing counter can be made part of the contract with us. Q. Is plumbing included? A. No. Professional plumbing requires a plumbing license. Although Advanced Surfaces Inc. sets the sink we strongly recommend that the hook-up of the sink be made by a licensed plumber. Please refer to our links page for a qualified plumbing recommendation. Q. Should I select my appliances prior to my countertop fabrication? A. Yes. Stoves, cooktops, sinks and refrigerators all have design considerations that affect the way your countertops are made. It is advisable that these items have been chosen prior to your countertops being manufactured. Q. Do these products have a warranty? A. Yes. Most products we carry have a ten year warranty from the manufacturer. Advanced Surfaces Inc.’s workmanship warranty is one year from the date of installation. Q. Does Advanced Surfaces Inc. do repairs? A. No. All repairs are handled by our service agent, Surfaces Authority Inc. You can find them on our links page. Q. Does Advanced Surfaces Inc. do small jobs? A. Yes. Call us with your project, we may be able to help you. Q. Will my pets be a problem for the installers? A. Advanced Surfaces Inc. recommends your pets be secured in a safe location away from the work area on the day of installation. Q. Do I need to empty my lower cabinets prior to demolition? A. Yes. It is strongly recommended to empty your lower cabinets prior to demolition. Q. Does Advanced Surfaces Inc. manufacture or install laminate, cultured marble, concrete, quartz or natural stone countertop products? A. No. Q. Does Advanced Surfaces Inc. provide financing? A.
